Friday, April 3rd
Landed about 8am or so. By the time we got through customs, got our bags and transfer to the hotel it was about 10:30am or so. We walked down to the Opera House (wow!), had lunch at McDonalds and we were back to our room and asleep by 4p. Woke up at 2am! Read a book and got ready for the day.

Saturday, April 4th
After breakfast at McDonalds we walked a long, long, long walk around Sydney. When we got back to our hotel, the power went off. We were stuck in our room on the 20th floor for a couple hours. Once the power came back on we went to Bondi Beach. Took a public bus for 8.50AUD round trip. Came back, walked around the Opera House one last time and ate pizza on the pier. Back at hotel and asleep by 5pm!

Sunday, April 5th
Up at 2am again. Got ready to go to the airport for 3 ½ hour flight to Alice Springs.
Arrived Alice Springs and thought it looked just like the outback in the movie Crocodile Dundee. Checked into the Crowne Plaza and walked into town. ½ hour walk in, took cab back! We got picked up at the hotel at 6:30pm for the Red Centre Dreaming Show. It’s not unlike a luau in Hawaii. The Aborigine's told stories and danced. We ate a 3 course meal. They served camel and kangaroo, I tried both, and they also had chicken and fish. A couple kangaroos came out of the woods and right up to us. They feed them every night so they are not so scared. We went to bed at 10:30pm. Thought I would sleep until at least 5 or 6, but was up at 4am.

Monday, April 6th
Went on a 'Town Like Alice' tour. Saw The School of the Air, Royal Flying Doctor Service, Reptile Farm and Anzac Hill. Was very interesting. Went to bed at 8pm and woke up at 4:30am.
Found out the rivers are backwards down there. The sand/dirt is on top and the water is below….

Tuesday, April 7th
Left Alice Springs by bus this morning. Six hours later we saw Ayers Rock! Did an evening sunset tour of Kata Juta, another rock formation by Ayers Rock.

Wednesday, April 8th
Okay let me start by saying "oh my gosh, the fly’s here!!!" They are 100% worse than at home.
Did a sunrise tour of Ayers Rock (although in Australia they call it Uluru). Cool! Left for Cairns this afternoon.
Arrived Cairns…rain…rain…rain. We went to the night market and shopped and ate dinner regardless of the rain.

Thursday, April 9th
Not raining, just wet. Spent the day in Kuranda which is a town way up the mountain, in the rain forest. Fun. We took a motor coach up the mountain and we took the Kuranda Scenic Railway back. You can take a Skyrail up or down the mountain, but no thanks!

Friday April 10th
Took a Magic Reef Cruises 5 hour snorkeling tour of the Great Barrier Reef. AWESOME!
Went to bed at 6:30pm for 2:00am wake up call for flight home ):
